This position helps ensure that runners know where to park at the Alger Park and Ride and to wait for the Baker Bus. They also help direct participants up to Blanchard once the lot is close to full, leaving around 5 spots. This is one of the least time involved positions and does not require driving on a gravel road.

Assist with start/finish line setup, directing cars (at least two traffic directors needed), and check-in of racers. This is a good position for participants who want to volunteer.

First aid certification or higher required. We require two first aid certified volunteers per our permit. One would be based at the start/finish line area and be at a dedicated first aid location; the other would be at our aid station at the Samish overlook.

Assists with giving out food for later half of the race and cleaning up the start/finish line once complete. If interested in helping out all day please also sign-up for the setup/checkin position as well.

On course at the upper trailhead to open/close the forest road gate at the start of the event and change some signage once the runners run past. This trailhead is a short drive up from the start/finish line area. Would also help some with setup.

This can be more than one person, but at minimum we would like to have 1 person at the top of the alternate incline to ensure runners do not get lost. This position requires a short drive up a gravel road and a ~1 mile hike with ~750 feet of gain.

We need at least one person on course to ensure runners do not accidentally run down to Chuckanut Drive. This position requires driving up to the Samish Overlook and hiking a short distance to the intersection.
